Spanish. Copy of a 1706 decree from the Zaragoza inquisition commanding clerical obedience to the new Bourbon king Philip V, recognized as legitimate by pope Clement XI. Two related documents; the first acknowledges receipt of documents, some dating as far back as 1705, from Madrid naming various persons (including Antonio Maldonado) to offices in the Peruvian tribunal (1711). The second is a notice from Madrid naming Francisco Matienzo to an inquisitorial post in Lima; his blood purity (limpieza) is mentioned (1765). Both documents contain signatures and wax seals.
