Treslado de las familiatura... Treviana, Logroño: 1629 (manuscript), 1617 (printed document). Inquisition 12

Spanish. Two separate but related documents; the first is a manuscript notarized document (Treviana, 1629) produced on behalf of Diego Lopez de Ocio, a familiar of the inquisition. It includes copies of various documents, including certificates of familiatura originally granted to both Diego Lopez de Ocio (1611) and his uncle Hernando Correa de Velasco (1571). The second is a printed certificate (Logroño 1617), filled out by hand, noting privileges for Diego Lopez de Ocio in his capacity of inquisitorial familiar. Cf. INQ100.

Spanish. Printed certificate filled in by hand, naming Diego Correa de Belasco [Velasco] a familiar of the inquisition. Contains signatures. Certified three days later in another hand, with wax seal (on verso). Cf. INQ12.

"Nos los Inquisidores ... En los Alcaçares Reales de Cordova [Cordoba]: 1602, 1606. Inquisition 98

Spanish. Ornate certificate with hand-colored border decoration, naming Garcia de la Fuente a comissary of the inquisition. Contains signatures; wax seal is missing. Certified four years later in another hand (at bottom).

Spanish. Printed certificate filled in by hand, naming Vicente Rroldan a familiar of the inquisition. Contains signatures and wax seal. Certified three days later in another hand (on verso).

Spanish. Extremely ornate certificate with full color and gold-leaf border illustrations, naming Gaspar Lopez de la Palma a familiar of the inquisition. Contains signatures and wax seal. Certified six days later in another hand (on verso).

"Nos los inquisidores.... Valladolid: 1631. Inquisition 102

Spanish. Printed parchment certificate filled in by hand, naming Santiago de Linares a familiar of the inquisition. His blood purity (limpieza), and that of his wife Maria Ruiz, is noted on the form. Contains signatures. Part of bottom left corner is missing, perhaps with seal and certification.

"Nos los inquisidores.... Valladolid: 1635. Inquisition 103

Spanish. Printed parchment certificate with ornate printed borders, filled in by hand, naming Juan Lopez a familiar of the inquisition. His blood purity (limpieza), and that of his wife Maria de Castro, is noted on the form. Bottom section is missing, perhaps with signatures, seal and certification.

Spanish. Certificate with ornate colored design at top, naming Agustin Ponce de Leon a familiar of the inquisition. Contains signatures and wax seal. Certified 3 months later (at bottom); note on verso.

Spanish. Appeal to the king by an inquisitorial familiar, detailing complexity of local conflicts leading to his imprisonment and loss of property.

"Nos los Inquisidores ... Toledo: 1602. Inquisition 212

Spanish. Printed certificate, filled in by hand. The document notes privileges and exemptions of inquisitorial familiares, and cites recent mistreatment of the familiar Alonso Diaz Guerrero in the town of Alcazar de San Juan. Contains signatures and wax seal. Cf. #211.
